GYM CLOSURE

In our previous notices on the SSoG position during this pandemic we likened the gym to schools rather than clubs, pubs and theatres. Tonight the Government has announced school closures from Friday and we will follow this advice, with one exception. Our closure is IMMEDIATE and the Structured Adults Session tonight is our last session. There will be no gymnastics classes, training or other activities at the facility on Thursday 19th March 2020 and for the foreseeable future. We will continue to follow HM Gov advice and when we are able to restart activities, even in a limited way, we will advise members through the usual social media and via email.

We are a community based organisation run at Board level by volunteers and we now have a lot of things to think about on the financial side of the business, such as how we pay bills and salaries with no income. We will be contacting members directly with our plans, so please give us some breathing space before bombarding us with questions. We all need to support each other during the coming months to maintain our team and your understanding would be appreciated.

This is a difficult time for all of us and we hope all SSoG members and family stay fit and healthy during the coming weeks.
