The article from Metro News 23rd June 2004

The Planning and Highways Committee decided at their meeting on the 9th June 2004 that the application should be refused as it was against the policy of retaining Industrial Units for Employment. Our arguments, which had enthusiastically been accepted by the Area Committee only 3 weeks before, fell on deaf ears and we are now a little unsure on the next move. The papers were interested and the article below from the Metro is typical.

We think a great chance has been missed to improve the choice for exercise and fitness for the children of Stockport.

So is this the end. Of course not! Plan C is hatching and will be launched once we have finished the competitions we are holding over the next few weeks. To all those that supported the application a big thank you.
