We are a gymnastics club primarily, concentrating on the development of girls in their chosen sport. However we have a large number of recreational gymnasts, both girls and boys and with that in mind we do try to offer more than just gymnastics.

We take part in carnivals the latest of which was Stockport Carnival in 2005. We run a Stockport wide celebration of all gymnastic disciplines called Gymlinx.

We take part in displays. In 2002 we were in the arena at the Stockport Carnival in Woodbank Park, in 2005 we were at St. Mary's School in Reddish and we looked after the 1st Woodford Brownies when they were doing their Commonwealth Games proficiency badges in 2002.

Stockport School of Gymnastics  originally was formed in Stalybridge and was involved with twinning activities with Armentieres in northern France. This association was continued to this day with annual visits of the French Gym club to the UK and return visits of our club to Armentieres. In 2005 the sporting exchange is 50 years old so look out for special events.

The club visits schools and gives classes to all abilities, both boths and girls and organises special schools events.
